Research Programs
Higher Degree Research (HDR) students in Modern History will become part of a highly research active community. As small department but energetic department we are able to offer a high degree of staff student interaction, and students are encouraged from early in their degree to participate in the department's research program.
Candidates in Modern History proceed primarily by thesis which is up to 50,000 words for MPhil or 100,000 words for PhD.
Candidates are required to participate in the divisional commencement program and attend the work-in-progress interviews which are held twice yearly.
